To raise funds for our school’s programme, the Water Conservation Trust CIO organised a sponsored walk on Sunday 20th September 2026 along the course of the ancient River Westbourne.
The 6 walkers set off from Paddington Station initially following the route of the Grand Union Canal then south through Westbourne Park down to Lancaster Gate and across Hyde Park alongside the Serpentine Lake to Knightsbridge. We then followed the course of the Westbourne passing Sloane Square finishing at Ranelagh Gardens and the new Chelsea Quay recently constructed as part of the Thames Tideway project where the Westbourne entered the Thames.
So far we have raised £1500 for the Trust and thanks to everyone who sponsored the walkers and particular thanks to the 6 people who took part in the walk.
