Congratulation to the crew of our cutter ‘Water Forget Me Not’ for winning the mixed team class in the Thames Traditional Rowing Association ‘Admiral of the Port Race’ on the Thames by a very long distance. The next boat was out of sight at the finish. So fast were they, that they overhauled one boat in the race ahead (the womens’ team race) and would have been placed about third on timings in the mens’ team race. About 29 minutes in total! The river was relatively choppy, but the Master, Prof Carolyn Roberts and consort, Dr Stephen Roberts, assisted the crew to victory (as mandatory passengers on the cutter) with plenty of encouragement and cheering. It paid off, and we are all very proud of the achievements of the crew.
