The Water Conservators’ cutter Water Forget-me-not won the mixed crew class in the Oxbridge Watermen’s Challenge from Putney Bridge to Chiswick Bridge on the river Thames. The race for traditional Thames Watermen’s Cutters or Gigs took place just before the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race. Teams came from City of London Livery Companies and rowing clubs. We finished at the University of London Boat Club for well earned refreshment.
Our success was particularly impressive as it was the first time the crew had rowed together this year.
Congratulations everyone!
Preparing for the race – and ensuring we did not loose the team!

Going top speed and no other boats in sight.

Past the finishing post at Chiswick Bridge.

The award winning team.
