The Master, Professor Carolyn Roberts, was pleased to welcome four new Freemen to the Company at the Myddelton Court meeting.
Eleni ANTONIADES: I have been invited by the Water Conservators in the past to give a talk about my work in Antarctica, and so I gave a webinar in 2023 on the environmental management and monitoring work I carry out in Antarctica. Through my professional experience as environmental lead for aviation and infrastructure projects both in the UK and Antarctica/ overseas project, Vice President of the Institution of Environmental Sciences and Chair of the EIA Steering Committee, and Founder of the Environmental Hub in London, I believe I could contribute in a number of different ways.
Avent BEZUIDENHOUDT: Expertise in the VC investment sector with a focus on sustainability especially in the areas of water technology and innovation. I have also been a member of the International Jury for the Global Prize for Innovation in Water for 3 years. I have a strong and diverse network in the UK and globally in the VC community and water sector with a focus on innovation and driving investment in water startups. I now have a portfolio career advising boards of VC backed businesses, as an NED in these companies and as a turnaround specialist for underperforming companies.
Nick MOLDEN: I am the CEO of Emissions Analytics. My company’s focus is on the environmental impacts of vehicles, with a particular focus on river and ocean pollution. Emissions from the use of tyres has been shown to be the single biggest source of microplastics in the ocean, and my company is devoted to conducting real-world test programmes to inform the best industry and policy solutions, internationally.
Neil PENDLE: I am the CEO of Waterscan Ltd. I have experience in water efficiency and consulting and would like to help shape the Company’s vision for influencing policy/industry standards. I am currently supporting Defra and Ofwat in shaping the Business Retail Market following the Cunliffe Review. I am a Non-Executive Director at the Market Operator, MOSL. I have deep understanding and knowledge on smart metering, demand reduction, and data-driven water management especially in large industrial and commercial businesses. I can contribute to thought leadership pieces or seminars on business water usage analytics and outcome-based approaches for water conservation. I have many connections in the water industry to bring in new partners, sponsors, or speakers for events.
