A model of the neutron and muon generation and scattering facility
The UK has the largest community of neutron scattering researchers in the world. Every year some 1,500 experiments covering a wide variety of research – ranging from clean energy and the environment, pharmaceuticals, health care, nanotechnology, materials engineering and IT are carried out. Conservators saw at first hand the Neutron and Muon Source which is central to research in the physical and life sciences and the suite of neutron and muon instruments which give unique insights into the properties of materials on the atomic scale.
