Members of the Company were welcomed at the impressive Lincoln’s Inn Hall by the City Livery Club for a Civic Banquet with the Rt Hon. the Lord Mayor Alistair King and the Lady Mayors Florence King. During the evening the Club announced the winners of the Root and Branch Awards to Jo Mabbutt of the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers and David Barrett of the Worshipful Company of Coachmakers for his contribution as Secretary to the Fellowship of Clerks 2016-2023. We were introduced to the honourable guests and the honourable people round the walls. The Lord Mayor gave an impressive speech without notes reminding us of the role and history of the Livery in the City.
