At a specially convened meeting at the Pewterers’ Hall the Court voted to welcome Barbara Young, Baroness Young of Old Scone, as an Honorary Member of our Company. She was introduced to the Company by Past Master Colin Drummond and formally welcomed by the Master.
Barbara Young has a distinguished record in the environment sector including holding Chief Executive or Chair roles in the Environment Agency, English Nature, the RSPB and until recently the Woodland Trust. She is currently Vice President of RSPB.
Barbara Young is an expert in and a passionate advocate of a wide range of water and environmental issues. She is a valuable addition to our Company and we are very pleased that she has joined us.
