The Water Conservation Trust is encouraging more members of the Company and friends to contribute to its work.
Protecting all our futures lies at the heart of the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators. That is why our charity, the Water Conservation Trust CIO, is promoting knowledge, research and education of young people to do more for water and the environment. Charitable giving is a core purpose of the Livery.
Our projects include:
- Working with schools
We enhance water-related science and environmental learning; assist children with special needs on eco-projects; and help museum volunteers share the history of water and energy.

- Supporting students
We offer financial help to students to participate in courses and undertake a wide range of water and environmental research: subjects include micro plastics, flood risk management, fracking and monsoons. We mentor graduates and provide careers guidance.

- Promoting environmental understanding
We help educate the next generation about the importance of rivers and how we can all play a part in keeping them healthy. We aim to increase opportunities for people of all ages to care for the natural environment.
We have supported eight schools, more than 210 students and awarded over 110 prizes. As part of their commitment to the Livery Company, members are generously contributing to a £650,000 fund, which distributes up to £70,000 each year.
You can help us do more
We are raising funds for:
