I am delighted to announce that Dr Grant Tregonning, Research Associate at the Urban Big Data Centre, University of Glasgow, will be presenting our July webinar on Thursday 11th July 2024 6.00pm to 7.15pm titled “Participatory Artificial Intelligence for Mapping in Deprived Areas”. Grant will give an overview of IDEAMAPS which combines artificial intelligence (AI) analysis of earth observation data with community mapping and engagement to improve how we define and understand areas of deprivation (“slums”) in cities. The project integrates multiple public, official, and community-generated datasets to produce granular surface maps of deprived areas across individual cities to support local stakeholders in their decision-making.

Please note that to attend the webinar you will need to register first via the Eventbrite link  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/928158255327?aff=oddtdtcreator , attendance is free.

You will then receive a return email from Eventbrite with the zoom joining instructions. Any problems contact rob.casey1@hotmail.com
